  Kulusuk is located in eastern Greenland on the Atlantic coast. It is a member of the Kingdom of Denmark, who granted Greenland a home rule, a special relationship. It is the world's largest island and least populated country in the world. The hotel Kulusuk was built in 1999 and serves as the only base for adventurous tourists. There is high unemployment due to the dependence, except fishing and hunting, on tourism.
